This is Kelly
Kelly is a 40-year-old runner who works full-time at a desk job. She used to play soccer and still wants to, but back pain has made it nearly impossible.
Here’s what she’s dealing with:
- Chronic low back pain on both sides
- Burning, constant tension in her erectors and QL
- Deadlifts, glute bridges, and hinging movements all cause pain
- Sprinting and quick-change sports like soccer flare her symptoms
- She’s had a long history of lower body injuries: left quad tear, right quad tendon tear, high ankle sprain, and an old clavicle fracture
- Sitting at her desk worsens the pain—but long runs do not
Kelly strength trains when she can, but inconsistency and pain have kept her from progressing. Her biggest goal? To play soccer and lift weights without flaring up her back.
What you’ll see live:
In this session, I’ll walk you through how I assess Kelly’s active range of motion, what I learn from her breathing patterns and posture, and how I use that information to guide her movement selection in real time.
